Three Years On (Comments)   Friday 21st Nov, 2008
As I write this, a day after Veto Corp's third anniversary, I feel a deep sense of pride at what we've achieved as a corporation over the last three years.

It's due to the continued participation of our outstanding roster, and their skills as pilots that I get to write as the CEO of Veto Corp on our third anniversary. Without our members, and their continued dedication to the game, this corporation would be nothing.

To all those who've served under our colors who're with us, thank you for your continued loyalty to the cause. To all those whom have served, and departed for what they feel are greener pastures, we wish you only the best in your search.

Three years, just under 1096 days, or if you're so inclined, 26,297 hours.

It's been one hell of a ride so far, Here's to another three years of success, then many more after that.

ROLL ON YEAR FOUR!!

It's with great pleasure that Veto Corp can announce it's second new arrival in three days! The somewhat early but not unwelcome arrival of Fleet Director Bosie's newborn son means that the Veto Corp quest for World Domination draws ever closer.

With a firm grasp on our newfound ability to knock out clones of ourselves at alarming speed, the Veto Corp roster estimates that our numbers will increase twenty fold within the next year!

The whole of Veto Corp passes on our sincerest congratulations and support to Bosie and his wife on the somewhat early but healthy birth of their new baby son!

A New Generation - Part II! (Comments)   Sunday 27th Jul, 2008
On Friday morning, more news arrived at the ears of the Veto Corp roster to confirm another new addition to our online family. This time we celebrate the birth of a healthy baby boy, the son one of our most charismatic and loved sexual deviant members, Vegas Gold.

Vegas has officially been granted time away to master the arts of breastfeeding, however he has requested that the Janks is kept under lock and key for the duration of feeding times due to fears of him latching onto the spare man-breast.

The whole of Veto Corp offer our congratulations to both Vegas and his better half on their new arrival, and we are all pleased to hear that everything went smoothly.

Munitions Facilities Re-Open, Corporation Offers Thanks (Comments)   Saturday 7th Jun, 2008
Veto Corp are happy to announce the re-opening of three of our four planetside munitions processing facilities on Ishomilken V. The opening comes just days after emergency cleanup closure due to a series of blasts, which can now be confirmed as an attempted sabotage bombing.

The cleanup operation following the blasts has now been completed, and Veto Corp Chief Executive Ethan Verone released a statement containing the following while on planetside leave earlier today :

"While Veto Corp sincerely regrets the loss of life due to Friday's attempted sabotage attacks on our planetside supply facilities, the corporation and indeed it's roster must soldier on.

Three of our four facilities are still fully operational, ironically the smaller of the four destroyed. After a video meeting with our planetside logistics and production team this morning, I can confirm to shareholders that our production efficiency still remains high, at 84 percent, despite the loss of one facility.

We estimate a sixteen week run at this level of production, while facility three is re-constructed and adequately manned, after which we will return to our normal operational standard.

The corporate directorate would like to thank all employees and planetside subcontractors involved in the rescue and cleanup operation, as well as Guristas Production for their assistance."

Mr. Verone will re-assume full control of the Corporation from acting Chief Executive Avena Gariushi on Monday June 9th and resume full active duty, after escaping the blasts with minor cuts and bruises, and a slight concussion last week.

The Veto Corp Directorate would like to offer it's thanks to all employees, allies, and the Guristas Cartel for their support during what has been a difficult operational week for the Corporation.

Our thanks also extend to one corporate entity who shall remain publically un-named in this instance, your support has been invaluable during this difficult time for the Corporation.

Explosions Rock Planetside Munitions Facility - Thousands Confirmed Dead (Comments)   Saturday 31st May, 2008
Veto Corp regret to annouce the loss of 2,344 lives after a series of explosions rocked one of our four planetside munitions facilities on Ishomilken V at approximately 4:45PM yesterday evening.

Among those lost in the series of blasts that completely decimated the facility are Ethan Verone's business and economic advisor, Kai Kadesh, Veto Logistics Chief Operations Officer Lucian Akasa and Veto Logistics Planetside Production Director Gite Ostef.

Along with these three members of the Veto Corp Directorate, scores of workers, facility engineers, distribution, quality assurance and security personnel were lost, may of whom were indigenous residents of Ishomilken V.

Veto Corp Chief Executive and Founder Ethan Verone was also cought in the blast, suffering massive injuries, and was subsequently evacuated from the facility along with survivors at approximately 6PM Eve Standard Time. His current medical condition will remain undisclosed until his injuries are fully asessed and an accurate statement can be made.

Veto Corp airborne security services touched down on Ishomilken V at approximately 6:20PM yesterday evening, little over 90 minutes after the incident to search for any remaining surviors, begin the cleanup operation and launch an investigation into the blasts.

At this point in time it is believed that sabotage, or a series of explosive devices are the cause of the devastation, however reports from some of the 156 survivors remain unsubstantiated until a full investigation has been concluded.

A compensation package of 2,000,000 Kredits has been attributed to the nominated next of kin of every member of staff lost. Life insurance and pension refund payments will be made on conclusion of the investigation and classification of loss of life.

The entire Veto Corp roster offer our sincerest apologies and most heartfelt condolences to the families of those lost yesterday evening, and pledge to complete the investigation into the cause of the blasts as swiftly as possible.

Avena Gariushi
Acting Chief Executive
Veto Corp

The First Year Of Training (Comments)   Friday 30th Nov, 2007
Within a fortnight of the second anniversary of Veto, we celebrate a second milestone.

Today Veto Academy is one year old.

For a year, members of Veto have strived to bring the best in training and experience to every new member of [VETOA].

With in excess of fifty successful graduations and an almost non existant rate of failure, Veto Academy members have time and time again proved that with the will to learn and an open mind, picking up the knowledge to fit in with the way we fight is easily done with the right support.

My personal thanks go out to all members of [VETO] who have helped and supported our Academy members through their training periods with [VETOA].

Thanks also to the rookie pilots who have shown kick ass levels of dedication to Veto Corp, and who've eventually gone on to graduate into [VETO] membership.

ROLL ON YEAR TWO!

Two Years On (Comments)   Tuesday 20th Nov, 2007
Today, with the upmost of pride and with heads held high we celebrate the two year anniversary of the formation of Veto Corp.

For two years our corporation has strived to do what it does best, piracy and mercenary work. For two years it has been a pleasure and a privilege for me to lead under our banner and be noted as the Chief Executive and Founder of such a fine and well balanced group of people.

The two years in Veto Corp for me have been more than the leadership of a corporation. They've been about creating a community, about breaking the mould, about creating an online family and moreover a solid group of friends who can rely on eachother to watch eachother's backs no matter the cost.

The past two years have been very challenging. With the second anniversary now upon us, the realisation of how far our corporation has come with both my leadership, and the endless dedication our members have shown is finally starting to dawn.

As CEO and Founder of Veto Corp, my deepest and sincerest thanks are extended to all our members.

You are the beating heart that drives us. Without you all, our corporation would be nothing.

HERE'S TO YEAR THREE!

DarkElf - A Loss So Overwhelming (Comments)   Tuesday 11th Sep, 2007
I feel how weak and fruitless any words of mine must be which should attempt to beguile our corporation from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I can't refrain from tendering to all our members the consolation that may be found in the good times that we all spent together as wingmen in game.

I pray that DarkElf watches over us all now and still flies with us among the stars of New Eden which he loved so much. I hope that in some way, every member of our roster can find solace in the thought that DarkElf is now at peace and that the the anguish of our bereavement is assuaged, leaving only the cherished memory of a family member loved and lost, and the solemn pride that is ours to have shared our time in Eve with someone so unique.

Members of Veto Corp mourn not as individuals, but as a whole. As a single unit. As a family grieving the loss of a brother, a wingman, a comrade and above all a friend.

No words I can lay down can describe the overwhelming wave of sorrow that has struck the heart of our corporation on hearing of the loss of such a core member of our ingame family and social circle. No words I can lay down can cull the pain of a loss so great that it strikes endless pain into the very roots of our roster.

Our corporation is at rest and our banner colors stripped as a mark of respect as we grieve the loss of one of the finest and most dedicated members of our family.

Tonight, a minute of silence marked the passing of someone every member of our corp holds close to their heart.

DarkElf, aka Paul.
1980 - 2007
Rest In Peace.

Dispatching The Serpent (Comments)   Saturday 21st Apr, 2007
Three nights ago Veto Corp came face to face with a small contingent of Serpentis Corporation Vessels numbering three Vigilant class cruisers and three Taranis class interceptors while returning from a small operation in Placid.

Bizzarely enough the group was fully armed and ready for combat, inside Federation Sovereign space.

Our intention as opportunists and indeed pirates was to ransom the group.

Sadly during the engagement which dragged out across three systems of low security Placid as we pursued, one of our members also piloting a Taranis class was shot down.

In retaliation Veto Corp flattened the three cruisers and one of their Taranis clad scouts, the other two of which fled the scene of the battle, leaving their fellow corpmates to die.

As punishment for the destruction of a member of my roster's vessel, those involved in the engagement under Veto Corp command were also ordered to execute one "Lieutenant Stikiker" and one "Scout Maradeille" when their capsules were sucessfully snared.

A message in short Serpentis. Your agression was uncalled for, as was revealing the position of our members in local comms.

Next time hold your fire, keep your mouth shut, and Pay The Man™

Return To Paradise (Comments)   Sunday 4th Mar, 2007
After almost six months working as a full time Mercenary Outfit, Veto Corp are returning to our roots.

The recruitment policy and requirements that we set out for the sole Mercenary Trade have been changed to reflect our return to piracy. As well as that, the Academy has been closed down temporarily as we enter a new era in Veto Corp's evolution.

Over the last few days as the transision has occured, Veto Corp have lost several long term members and several Academy members who wished to abstain from returning to piracy.

To them, we all offer our wishes of good luck in forming their new corporation and hope that it retains the strength that the roster displayed while flying under the Veto Corp banner.

Veto Corp will still be acting as a lowsec and nulsec mercenary outfit for hire, however we will no longer be accepting contracts which require activity in CONCORD patrolled space.

On a final note, we are happy to announce a new era in Veto Corp's development. After talks and joint operations alongside the finest Gurista capsuleers in the cluster, we now assume full allignment to the position of Gurista Loyalists.

I offer my sincere thanks to the roster of The Black Rabbits and hope that the sucess and good spirit of our joint operations will continue.

I also offer the same thanks, and feel a profound sense of respect for all the members of Veto Corp whom have stood by our ways, and our banner through this difficult transision to outlawship over the last few weeks.

It has been a pleasure to lead this corporation for the last year and three months, even through ups and downs, and I hope that many more years of the same sucess lie ahead of us as a team.

Thank you all.

Contract #4 - Results (Comments)   Thursday 8th Feb, 2007
A little over a week ago Veto Corp was contacted by Afterlife Inc. requesting our services in the resolution of a hostile situation that had developed in Khanid. A contract was agreed on, and we stepped in to attempt to bring some control to Irmalin, in the constellation Budar.

We were drawn under contract into a war against three corporations, Skill Level Six, The . Forsaken, and United Eve Directorate. Working with our client, Veto Corp laid siege to Irmalin for 36 hours, patrolling the docking ramps of the only station in system while awaiting full contract details.

After 36 hours of light combat, and overseeing the reinforcement of a control tower in the system belonging to an ally of our mark who was allowing them sanctuary there, it was decided that the tower, property of Confederation of Independant Corporations was to be destroyed to send a message to the alliance to distance themselves.

Successful destruction of the tower by an Afterlife Inc Revelation class capital, and a small Veto Corp support fleet saw CIC deploy several capitals into the system in an attempt at revenge.

Despite this, after a 72 hour ceasefire between all parties involved, during which Veto Corp stayed in the area as a peacekeeping force, the contract drew to a close with minimal allied losses, as the three corporations in question requested and agreed to a Non Agression Pact with the client corp.

The results of this contract stand proud as an example of how Veto Corp, with the help of an understanding client, can minimise problems and seek an alternative solution to all out war.

Full details of the contract combat that did occur can be seen by clicking the link marked "Contract Results" to the left of this announcement, and selecting the appropriate link for the contract.

Once again, my most sincere thanks to the whole of Veto Corp for your continued unswaying dedication to your corporation.

The War On Firmus Ixion (Comments)   Saturday 20th Jan, 2007

100x Tobacco
10x Zemnar

Veto Corp Goes Live! (Comments)   Thursday 11th Jan, 2007
A year and a month ago, Veto was formed as a small scale RolePlaying Corporation based entirely on PvP.

Since then there have been several stages to the evolution of our home. Initially we grew in numbers, dropping the RolePlay front and turning into a full scale PvP corp. Soon after this the Veto roster decided to return to many of our roots.

For almost 8 months Veto terrorised low security space across Eve, ransoming, killing and indeed being killed all for the sake of good fun.

We have grown from an initial six members, four of whom still reside with us today, to a 45 man (and woman) corporation with no political or moral ties.

Today is a proud day for every member of our corporation. Today is the day that we form an ingame Alliance and put ourselves firmly on the long term history books of Eve-Online.

The alliance will consist of our two sister corporations, "Veto", and the newly launched "Veto Academy". The academy will provide a training ground for new recruits and a place where potential members of the Veto family will spend their trial peroid and prove themselves competent to fly with us permanantly.

Potential applicants can review our recruitment requirements, and corporate policy by clicking the link titled "Recruitment" to the left of this announcement.

Finally, my most sincere thanks to every member of Veto for the dedication, team spirit and sheer effort that you put into being part of this corp every day.

Without every one of you, Veto would be nothing but a shadow of what it is today.

Here's to 2007.

Contract #3 - Results (Comments)   Friday 29th Dec, 2006
Tonight marks the end of another successful contract for our corporation, this time in the south. The aim of our contract was to provide fire support for the Interstellar Starbase Syndicate and fellow hired guns Mercenary Coalition during the siege and capture of the outpost in F4R2-Q.

With the outpost in our client's hands, we were then dispatched to patrol Catch and the surrounding area in fast moving packs with an NBSI policy to restrict traffic in the area.

For Veto the contract has been enjoyable, with a lot of fast paced fighting and a generous supply of targets. Once again I am overjoyed with the performance of every member of our corporation and hope to see more of the same in future ventures.

Sadly, the contract has come to an abrupt end after repeated delay in payments by our client, however we endeavour to wish them well in future engagements and thank them for choosing Veto.

For those interested the final statistics for this contract a rough outline of numbers can be seen below :

334 kills / 53 losses
5,789,270,724 ISK / 281,940,336 ISK

Battlecruiser [19 / 3]
Battleship [43 / 0]
Capsule [103 / 13]
Cruiser [40 / 5]
Destroyer [4 / 2]
Elite Battlecruiser [2 / 0]
Elite Cruiser [7 / 2]
Elite Destroyer [2 / 1]
Elite Frigate [39 / 14]
Frigate [37 / 12]
Industrial [5 / 0]
Mining Barge [2 / 0]
Rookie ship [7 / 0]
Shuttle [24 / 1]

Full details of the contract can be seen by clicking the link marked "Contract Results" to the left of this announcement, and selecting the appropriate link for the contract.

Again our members have faced a highly organized, well lead and well structured foe that has provided a lot of challenges over the duration of the contract. We would like to thank the Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate, Shroud of Darkness, Against ALL Authorities and Tau Ceti Federation (who happened to be in the area shooting us) as well as all the others who made an appearence and are listed on the contract results, for an excellent fight and a good two weeks of war.

My personal thanks to the whole Veto roster for your continued unswaying dedication to our corporate commitments.

Contract #2 - Results (Comments)   Saturday 9th Dec, 2006
Today Veto completed it's first large scale contract as a Mercenary outfit.

Despite inevitable losses, the contract was fulfilled with no problems and client satisfaction is extremely high.

The aim of the contract was the harassment of the target and as much logistical damage as possible in an attempt to reduce their effectiveness on the battlefield. Initially the contract was focused on GoonSwarm alone, but it quickly became apparent that their allies Red Alliance and Ka-Tet would also prove troublesome. In light of this, they were added to the list of targets.

After two weeks the client called the contract to a close after a run of kills including a Charon Class freighter packed with minerals totalling a value of over 2 billion ISK. Coupled with the value of the ship itself, this brings the total for this to just under 3 Billion ISK.

Veto have endeavoured to harass the target's mining, gatecamping, mission running and hunting operations in their own contested space as well as empire, disabling the ability for their logistical arm to operate to it's full effectiveness.

The Final statistics after 2 weeks on this contract stand as follows :

330 kills / 79 losses
8,095,038,158 ISK / 1,290,524,953 ISK

Battlecruiser [16 / 15]
Battleship [51 / 2]
Capsule [85 / 9]
Cruiser [49 / 25]
Destroyer [9 / 3]
Elite Battlecruiser [1 / 3]
Elite Cruiser [2 / 3]
Elite Destroyer [3 / 1]
Elite Frigate [20 / 17]
Elite Industrial [1 / 0]
Freighter [1 / 0]
Frigate [32 / 1]
Industrial [20 / 0]
Rookie ship [18 / 0]
Shuttle [22 / 0]

Full details of the contract can be seen by clicking the link marked "Campaigns" to the left of this announcement, and selecting the appropriate link.

Five Veto losses, 1x Tempest, 1x Stabber, 1x Slasher 1x Pod and 1x Covert Ops have been omitted from the statistics as they have been dealt with via Reimbursement Petition due to Blackscreen Undocking in empire hub systems.

Veto's roster have faced an opponent unwilling to give, and determined to defend itself throughout the contract. We would like to thank GoonSwarm, Red Alliance and Ka-Tet for the fights and amusement they have provided over the last two weeks.

My personal gratitude goes to every member of Veto for their dedication to this contract, and to their corporation. Thank you all.

Contract Announcement (Comments)   Friday 8th Dec, 2006
On Friday 24th November, Veto engaged in it's largest Contract to date.

While our client wishes to remain anonymous, our target is not and as such we will release details of current contract success.

Since 24th November Veto has faced GoonSwarm under contract, with both Red Alliance and Ka-Tet joining the fray in 0.0 security space.

Fights have been fun, gathering intel has also been enjoyable, but the best point has been the client satisfaction we have seen from this contract, which we rate higher than any ship, module or kill/death ratio.

So far Veto members have seen action across a large expanse of regions, with the main focus being the area surrounding Rens and GoonSwarm's current contested and home region.

The current statistics, just under 2 weeks in for this contract stand as follows :

289 kills / 64 losses
4,649,828,228 ISK / 630,509,886 ISK

Battlecruiser [15 / 10]
Battleship [43 / 2]
Capsule [75 / 7]
Cruiser [40 / 22]
Destroyer [6 / 3]
Elite Battlecruiser [1 / 1]
Elite Cruiser [2 / 2]
Elite Destroyer [1 / 1]
Elite Frigate [17 / 15]
Elite Industrial [1 / 0]
Frigate [31 / 1]
Industrial [18 / 0]
Rookie ship [18 / 0]
Shuttle [21 / 0]

Five Veto losses, 1x Tempest, 1x Stabber, 1x Slasher 1x Pod and 1x Covert Ops have been omitted from the statistics as they have been dealt with via Reimbursement Petition due to Blackscreen Undocking.

For a more up to date view on current contract statistics, please see the "Campaigns" link to the left of this annoucement, and select the appropriate link.

Thank you to the whole Veto roster for the outstanding effort in making this contract a sucess so far.

The war continues.

Veto : One Year On (Comments)   Monday 20th Nov, 2006
November 20th 2005 saw the realisation, and the birth of a dream. On November 20th 2005, Veto was born.

One year on, the corporation moves from strength to strength.

As with the establishment of any corporation, setbacks, delays and problems occur. As a team, a collective and moreover as a family, Veto have endeavored and suceeded to overcome any barrier that has stood in our way.

During a year of activity our corporation has undergone many changes, achieved many objectives, made many enemies and of course, a close group of friends with whom we've flown into the melee. To those who have fought and stood or fallen beside us, you have our eternal thanks, and our gratitude.

Veto, like the few corporations that survive their fragile first year as fully active combat outfits, is a testament to the fact that perseverance sacrifice and teamwork prevail, no matter how harshly an organisation has the odds stacked against it in a hostile environment of thousand man alliances, blob warfare and a sheer game of numbers.

In the last year our corporation has seen many faces, and fought many wars. From our days as an 8 man high-security terrorist outfit, to our return to basics, piracy in the border regions of New Eden, when our roster increased six-fold after a surge of applications on announcement of our return to outlawship.

We then saw subsequent attacks on Ushra'Khan and defense when agressed by the Interstellar Starbase Syndicate in retaliation.

From there Mercenary contracting began and one year on the core of Veto, our members, the living breathing assets that make our corporation what it is today, still fight with the pride they did a year ago.

For this I thank each and every one of you who has fought under the banner of Veto, past and present. This corporation's success is not based on any one member's drive or goal, but the common goal of our entire roster, and the endless devotion that members of our ingame family have shown to making our corporation as close knit as it is today.

I for one am proud to be a part of Veto, and to be flying into a second year of membership as the leader of what is my eyes, the finest group of players in Eve-Online.

Here's to many more years of the same.

Long Live Veto.

Federation Navy Convoy Destroyed In Kassigainen (Comments)   Thursday 9th Nov, 2006
At approximatley 20:00 Eve Standard time on November 7th, forces from Veto intercepted a Federation Navy convoy of two Navy Issue Megathron class battleships, two Navy Issue Vexor class cruisers and two Thorax class cruisers in Kassigainen, guarding an Obelisk class freighter. The violence came after a half hour stand off between the captain of the convoy and forces from the Home Guard, the Kaalakiota Corporation's internal police force, who refused to permit them access to their airspace.

Under contract to an undisclosed client who wishes to remain completely anonymous, Veto forces proceeded to sucessfully destroy the convoy and it's cargo.

Interstellar News released this news bulletin yesterday, after Veto confirmed it's involvement on a contracted basis in a Press Release earlier in the day.

President Foiritan of the Federation this morning released a statement expressing his regrets, while State officials remain tight lipped about the events that unfolded.

Congratulations and thanks to all our pilots who were able to attend, and make this another sucessful contract to add to our history.

Corporate Security (Comments)   Monday 6th Nov, 2006
Due to a potential infiltration attempt into our corp, and in order to make sure the same chain of events does not happen again, Veto will be switching to a full invitation only recruitment policy.

Current outstanding applications will be tendered, however any future applications will be rejected unless a trusted member Veto agrees to vouch for the applicant.

A Change Of Direction (Comments)   Monday 30th Oct, 2006
Kali looms on the horizon (well, Soon™ anyway) and is destined to bring about a lot of changes to Eve and how we play it.

For some time now I've been thinking of how Veto will progress once the new expansion is upon us, which direction we will take and where it will lead us.

We have a strong roster devoted to the wellbeing and survival of the corp, and have developed from what was once a small scale PvP corp into an outfit that today I am very proud to be leading.

With the arrival of the first stage of the Kali deployment, Veto evolves once again.

We are currently gearing up for a change of profession operating as a Mercenary Corporation. We will no longer operate as border region pirates, and will no longer be agressing neutral pilots with non-outlaw security ratings in low security space. Instead, we seek profit for our services without political barriers.

As of November 1st, Veto will officially be for hire as a Mercenary Corporation.

For our services you can either contact myself, or Hussmann.
